The Group Relations Method

This is a method that examines how people interact in groups, the roles they take on, how group structures influence behavior, and the impact of group dynamics on both the individual and the collective. Both of our school leaders studied at the Tavistock Institute of Human Relations and are experienced practitioners of this method.

Group relations theory is applied throughout our educational program – in the organization of school structure, in classroom teaching, and in the development of social skills. Students gain strong teamwork and collaboration skills while also developing emotional intelligence. We believe these skills are especially important in an individualistic and competitive society. Our goal is for graduates to be strong in teamwork, group dynamics, leadership, and collaboration.

Bilingual Education

At Guliverio Akademija, we teach both Lithuanian and English as first languages. Our aim is for students to graduate with full fluency in both.

The digital environment exposes children early and intensely to English, which, while broadening their linguistic horizons, can sometimes negatively affect the use and development of their native language. To maintain linguistic balance and ensure a solid foundation in Lithuanian, we place greater emphasis on Lithuanian language development in primary school (grades 1–6), while teaching English in a structured and high-quality way.

In lower secondary school (grades 7–10), we give equal attention to both Lithuanian and English, helping students build strong skills in both languages.

In upper secondary school (grades 11–12), English becomes the primary language of instruction, as students prepare for final examinations conducted in English, which are required for obtaining the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE). However, Lithuanian language and literature remain compulsory, and students take the national Lithuanian Matura exam (VBE).Western Australian Certificate of Education, WACE). Vis dėlto lietuvių kalba ir literatūra lieka privalomas dalykas ir mokiniai laiko šio dalyko valstybinį brandos egzaminą (VBE).

Note: For students whose native language is not Lithuanian, we offer a differentiated Lithuanian language and literature program.
